Analysis – Writing Style

The Author chose to tell the story with 1^st person narration not just with one main character, but with four main characters. Each character, Martin, Maureen, Jess and JJ, tell the story through their own perspective. Book got like different chapters and with every chapter the narrator changes. The narrators don’t repeat each other, the pick up where the story left off. First I found it confusing because I didn’t realize that the narrators always changed and that the names in front of the chapters were the narrators of the following text. But after reading o I realized and thought that it is a unique way to tell a story. I also liked how he changes the vocabulary of the different characters. The most extreme difference would be between Martin, who has a fairly sophisticated vocabulary and Jess, who talks slang and swears every second sentence.
